Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean Longhorn beef
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 4 slices of pepper jack cheese
  • ½ yellow onion, sliced
  • ¼ lb thick-cut bacon

How to Make Longhorn Burger?

  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat and cook the bacon until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon and keep the grease in the pan.
  • Toss the sliced onions into the pan and sauté them in the bacon grease. Cook for about 6 minutes until they are caramelized.
  • While the onions are cooking, preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • Combine the Longhorn beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Divide the beef mixture into four even portions, then shape them into burger patties.
  • Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for about 4 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the patties and grill the other side for around 3 minutes.
  • Add the caramelized onions to the top of each patty, followed by a slice of pepper jack cheese.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Allow the patties to rest for 2 minutes before assembling the burgers on toasted sesame seed buns with the crispy bacon.
